Support JPEG Photo Compression on Android
Joe McCann
We use SETFORMATTRIBUTES() in ON-LOAD() to specify '4000' as the maximum image dimension, effectively giving us 12mp photo sizes. Great! However, the jpegs themselves do not appear to have any compression applied to them, so they are around 5mb each, crushing our sync times. Compressing jpegs with QUALITY 75 results in 700kb file size with no discernible difference in visual quality.
Please consider enabling jpeg compression as well as a per-photo field configurable property to set the QUALITY target (also configurable via data event, like other field properties). Perhaps this already works on iOS? Apologies if I've missed something obvious.
