Rotating images

Some data imagery due to device rotation lock results in the image being uploaded the wrong way up.
Current solution is quite tedious where the image then has to be downloaded, deleted and then re-uploaded with the correct rotation.
A feature or ability to rotate the image within the record would be greatly helpful.

Rotate Photos in Field now app

It would be very helpful if we can rotate photos in the app after taking them as opposed to turn our phone sideways to take picture. The majority of time I take a photo with the phone in landscape orientation and then the photo in the app is in portrait. I believe this is because the app does not process the photo quick enough so by the time the photo is dropped into the page where the photo number, description, “include in photolog Y/N” options are, Ive turned the phone back and it is oriented the wrong way. The app doesn’t do a good job with the gyroscope of the phone so when I have to take a photo at an odd angle because I’m on a ladder or reaching to get a better perspective, it doesn’t put the photo in landscape when the iphone default camera will. Would be great if after the photo is in place you could rotate in 90 degrees in the app as opposed to delete it and try again, which I sometime do multiple times before the app gets the photo uploaded in the correct orientation.

Katie:
Are there any developments about if this photo rotation will be implemented/developed?
Katie Briggs
Jameson Shull: This is not currently on our near-term roadmap. I would love to meet with you and better understand your needs for this functionality. Let me know if you are open to a quick call to review this request.

This would be very helpful. I noticed it really depends on the device, but when they do pop up sideways, it's a lot of effort to get them all changed.

I've just come across this exact issue. Luckily I don't have to sort tonnes of images but a rotate option both in the app and web would be so useful
