The implementation of the lasso tool is a welcome additional which make life much easier when try to filter to records by shape. However this this to toggle between Polygon selection and lasso selection ( or a separate polygon tool would make it more user friendly to select just the record you want while navigating the map and dropping polygon points.

If the user could zoom and pan the map whilst a polygon is being created, that would would also be great.
