I would like to be able to select multiple files and upload them to a record. I would also like this functionality to be such that I can drag and drop multiple items to a photo/video/audio/attachments field.

Upvote- it would be nice to be able to select multiple files similar to the functionality with Microsoft products. Being able to hold highlight and move all the files at one time.

Any update on if this will be planned for release? We are able to do this on mobile but not desktop. Would be great to have it consistent for all users

Yes please! This would be an enormous time-saver. Both for drag-and-drop, and for selecting multiple files at a time through the file browser.
