With the recent addition of lines/polygon support to apps having apps shown as a layer on mobile would be extremely useful. For example an app could be used to store parcel boundaries and survey crew permissions as the status color. This could then be displayed easily in other apps map view to let a crew know where they need to go.

While this can be done with a map service / hosted feature layer / or mbtile for offline, these are all slow to load in the field with little / no data connetion (map service / HFL), or cumbersome to create (mbtile). Using lines/polygons in a linked app would solve the speed issue and (hopefully) work offline too.
