Location Editor (Beta) - Feedback
Pete Zagorski
It would be great to be able to continue recording a line outside of the location editor window. That way a user could fill out other sections of the form while walking a line.
I use gestures on my android phone to navigate between windows. Swiping from the side of the screen is my "back" button and it much easier to perform that gesture than clicking the "done" button at the top right corner of the screen in the location editor window. Unfortunately, the behavior for clicking or gesturing back results in the discard changes window. It would increase my efficiency if the back button/gesture just saved the geometry edits.
The double tap to zoom sometimes triggers when I'm rapidly creating points for a line or polygon. I would prefer pinch to zoom being the only zoom option.
In some scenarios, a more accurate point location is desired. Adding a feature for "waypoint averaging" would be nice. This feature would use the gps info collected over a certain amount of time to create a more accurate point. Ideally, the amount of time would be controlled by the user. Click once to start averaging and then click again to complete averaging.
"Free hand drawing" for lines and polygons would speed up the delineation of natural features with wavy boundaries.
When I hold down while setting a point and the zoom glass appears, no point is dropped when I release.
